FoolishPeople's Virulent Experience:

“Your journey into the mid 21st century will take you from the museum’s basement to the roof, and past a dizzying array of disturbing art and challenging performances…I found ‘Virulent Experience’ both confusing and exhilarating in equal measure, the most intense theatrical event I’ve attended this year – believe me, it is way, way out there!”

Londoneer

“An intelligent and quick-paced piece of theatre…at times it feels similar to Artaud’s Theatre of Cruelty. FoolishPeople are dangerous and exhilarating.”

Eye Spy Theatre

“Fans of twist-laden dense drama like The Prisoner, Lost and Fifty Shades of S&M will want to dive into new immersive theatre show Virulent Experience at Conway Hall…There are no plot holes, just unseen episodes, so go explore and find areas and scenes you may have missed the first time around”

Londonist

“The acting was slick and powerful and seamless….This show blew my mind and I can’t really explain why or what or how it did it…but that you should see it for yourself as it is too good to miss”

School of Life: Copying And Originality

9 Sept 2012, 11.15

Mark Earls will explore the lie of originality in all its aspects and show the value of 'social learning' (copying, to you and me) to help us put unoriginality back in its rightful place. And of course most of what he says will be other people's ideas.

Mark Earls is a leading thinker and actor in changing how we behave as a group. He is the author of the vastly influential Herd: How to Change Mass Behaviour by Harnessing Our True Nature (2009) and co-author of I’ll Have What She’s Having: Mapping Social Behaviour (2011).

Doors 11.15

The School of Life Sermons are strictly secular events which explore the values we should live by today. We ask maverick cultural figures to give us their take on the virtues to cling to or the vices to be wary of in order to better navigate life in our complex modern world.

Public Debate - ‘Freedom of speech, anti-abortion protestors and women: Rights and Limits’

11 Sep 2012, 18.30

British Pregnancy Advisory Service host a debate examining the challenges posed by the activities of anti-abortion protestors outside clinics for those with a commitment to freedom of speech

Chaired by David Allen Green and with a panel including Ann Furedi, Chief Executive, bpas (British Pregnancy Advisory Service) and Andrea Minichiello Williams, Chief Executive, Christian Concern the debate will examine the challenges posed by the activities of anti-abortion protestors outside clinics for those with a commitment to freedom of speech:

· How do we balance the freedoms to access and offer care with the right to oppose abortion?

· Is limiting the freedom of speech of anti-abortion protestors necessary and proportionate to protect women?

· Does the right to offend include those who are about to go through a medical procedure, including abortion?

TICKETS: £ free. Open to all but please book your place in advance with katherine.o'brien@bpas.org
