Sunday Concerts: Carducci Quartet & Simon Callaghan

“…the Carducci players displayed a deep and almost familial sense of unity in everything they played… full of life and vitality… extravagantly beautiful…” – The Washington Post

With an illustrious career spanning almost 30 years, the award-winning Carducci Quartet is internationally acclaimed as one of the most accomplished and versatile ensembles of today. They are no strangers to the Conway Hall stage, and we are delighted that they will open our 2026 season alongside the Sunday Concerts’ Artistic Director, Simon Callaghan. Their programme includes the second of Beethoven’s Razumovsky Quartets, Schumann’s much-loved quintet which he dedicated to his wife, the pianist Clara Schumann and one of Rebecca Clarke’s only two surviving works for string quartet, her beautiful Poem.
