Beethoven’s expansive Op.70 No.2 opens a programme of striking contrasts: Shostakovich’s searing wartime Trio, a haunting Sarabande by Isidore Zebeljian, and Mendelssohn’s turbulent, beloved D minor Trio to close. A beautifully balanced evening pairing the familiar with the unexpected, performed with real emotional range.

This event is in the Main Hall, which is located on the ground floor. The balcony is accessible only by stairs.

All the ground-floor rooms are accessible by wheelchair. There is also an accessible toilet on the ground floor opposite the Brockway Room.
