Join award-winning writers group 26 for an afternoon of conversation, writing, and sharing around words and growth. How do words grow with us, and how do they help us grow – both as people, and in terms of the natural world? Every year, 26 host a “Wordstock” festival for anyone, from any field, who loves words and writing. Part inspiration, part celebration, it’s a day dedicated to broadening horizons and bringing together like-minded language-lovers.
For this year’s Bloomsbury Festival, 26 are offering a mini-version created in partnership with the Wildlife Trusts – a three and a half hour exploration led by Neil Baker and featuring a selection of speakers (from poets and artists to experts on the natural world) who will draw in everything from the secret language of flowers to raising wildlife awareness, and to the ways words keep us connected to the people we love.
There will be listening, writing, sharing, as well as a small exhibition of the poetry and art from 26’s recent Plants project.
This event is part of Bloomsbury Festival.
