 Charles Bradlaugh 12th Annual Commemoration

A Conway Hall Ethical Society sponsored trip to Northampton to celebrate the annual commemoration of Charles Bradlaugh MP for Northampton from 1880 and 1891 and to the Leicester Secular Hall Leicester. The Charles Bradlaugh Society held its first commemoration on Sunday 29 September 2002. The Society was initiated by Peter Mulligan who took on the role of Project Co-ordinator. He invited Christopher Pounds and Tony Upton to take on the roles of Secretary and Chair respectively. The format of the commemoration has remained the same with officers giving the first oration after which guests are invited to speak about Charles Bradlaugh.
