Children’s Workshop with Darren Moore (trumpet)

Darren Moore learnt the trumpet at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Academy of Music. Since leaving he has played with many groups including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, European Union Baroque Orchestra, and the Hanover Band. More recently he performed at the Luzern Festival with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and Bernard Haitink.

As a yeoman in the Worshipful Company of Musicians, he leads workshops across London for schools. These have covered music from many different genres, countries, and centuries; always with a view to being inclusive and fun.

Darren has given recitals at Hampton Court Palace and St John’s Smith Square among others. In 2013 he won the Ian Fleming Award for solo brass. In his spare time Darren is training to be a ski instructor!

Particularly suitable for those aged 5-10. Please contact us if you are thinking of bringing a young person outside this range and we will do our best to accommodate them!

Please note: Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times.
