Christian Elliott & Robin Green
1st December 2024 · 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Doors open: 6:00pm
In person
Undoubtedly a highlight of our autumn 2024 season will be the opportunity to hear all five of Beethoven’s Cello Sonatas, which span the whole of his compositional life, performed in one evening by cellist Christian Elliott and pianist Robin Green. From the classical vigour of his Op.5, through the lyrical expression of the A major Op.69, and culminating in the groundbreaking Op.102, this concert will offer a unique chance to experience the trajectory of Beethoven’s musical development.
“Christian Elliott is one of the finest musicians I know. His versatility and his curiosity make him a truly inspiring musician.” — Jörg Widmann, composer
“Robin Green is an intelligent and sensitive musician with a genuine flair for imaginative programming.” — Gramophone
