Education & Democracy – Events For The Coming Year

On June 29th we will have held a meeting with The Ethical Society on “The End of Politics As We Know It” where we discuss if we are at a stage in our history where we have to question the very basis of our democracy and consider how it can be brought into the 21st century?

This will be the last meeting in the series of events that GlobalNet21 has been running with The Ethical Society and this meeting here is to plan the next series.

GlobalNet21 with Even Parker who is in both Globalnet21 and The Ethical Society have discussed two themes that we would like to explore in more depth in the coming year with the aim of developing an action plan around those idea.

The two topics agreed were the Future of Democracy and Education in the 21st Century. So what we would like to do is plan a series of events and activities around these two themes in the coming year and we would welcome GlobalNet21 and Ethical Society members to this meeting to help plan this with us.

This will include four meetings at Conway Hall in the coming year, other events like webinars and perhaps even a House of Commons meeting.

So come along and join us and help us develop these events and activities over the next twelve months.
