Photo by Aidan Woodcock The Fujita Piano Trio consists of three award-winning sisters from Japan. Since their highly acclaimed debut in 1999 at the Wigmore Hall they have been in great demand within the UK and abroad with performances in over 120 venues in UK alone. Recent highlights include performance of the Beethoven Triple Concerto in Japan with Kyoto Philharmonic Orchestra recital tour in Sweden and received the prestigious Aoyama Barocksaal Prize for their recital in Kyoto Japan. The sisters have been playing chamber music together since their early childhood. The violinist Arisa Fujita studied with David Takeno at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London where she is now a violin professor. Cellist Honoka Fujita also studied at the Guildhall School with Jennifer Ward Clarke and Raphael Wallfisch while pianist Megumi Fujita studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School with Louis Kentner Simon Nicholls and Vlado Perlemuter and subsequently at the Rubin Academy of Music in Tel Aviv University and the Royal College on Music with Irina Zaritskaya. The Trio has won the Chamber Music Prize at the Guildhall School.
