 Making Music Summer Event

Our Summer event is a great chance for members to come together, enjoy some music and learn more about Making Music and the services it provides, including the new Orchestra Tax Relief.

The day will be split into three sessions. Please let us know in the booking form which ones you plan to attend, and if you will be joining us for lunch.

Session on Orchestra Tax Relief

We will discuss a new source of income for instrumental groups with 12 or more performers, explaining what it is and how your group can benefit from it. Ideal for Treasurers and/or Chairs. We’ll talk about:

  • Background to Orchestra Tax Relief and what it is
  • What you need to do and set up in order to claim this relief for your group
  • Making Music’s new services which can help you claim this tax relief

PDGYA award presentation concert

Performances by the winners of the Philip and Dorothy Green Award for Young Concert Artists (PDGYA) awards. This concert is always enjoyable and a brilliant chance to see some of our best young musical talent perform live. You can find out more about the PDGYA here. Remember that all the winners are available to Making Music members to book at subsidised prices – so why not come along for a preview and think about who you might want to work with.

Making Music AGM

Our AGM will take place after lunch. It will be the usual AGM fare with reports from the board and executive staff, board member election results and a chance for you to ask questions. Anyone associated to Making Music is welcome to attend but only MM Reps can vote.

Cost & Refreshments

It is free to attend all three of the sessions and tea and coffee will be provided throughout the day. This year lunch is also free; please mark any special dietary requirements on the booking form.
