Sunday Concerts: Maria Canyigueral

With performances ranging from Bach to Mompou, Maria Canyigueral‘s performances at Conway Hall have become a true highlight. Her recital comprises Beethoven’s three sonatas of opus 2, the first of his ‘magnum opus’ of 32 sonatas spanning his whole compositional life.

“The pianist convinces with a finely nuanced sensitive playing, that one wants to listen to.”
Pizzicato Magazine, Remy Franck

Maria Canyigueral (piano)

Programme:

Beethoven | Piano Sonata No.1 in F minor Op.2/1
Beethoven | Piano Sonata No.2 in A Op.2/2
Beethoven | Piano Sonata No.3 in C Op.2/3

About the Sunday Concerts

Founded in the 1880s, our chamber music concert series is the longest-running of its kind in Europe. Conway Hall was purpose-built in 1929 to host concerts and lectures, and they have continued here until the present day. The ethos of “affordable classical music for all” still remains.
