Mencap: Planning for the Future Seminar – London
24th February 2016 · 10:30am - 12:30pm
In person | Virtual event
A local legal professional, with experience of drafting wills and trusts for the benefit of people with a learning disability, will be speaking at the event. They will also be available to answer any questions regarding family wills.
Parents often worry about how their loved one will manage their financial affairs when they are no longer around. They may be concerned that inheriting a large amount of money may leave them in a vulnerable position and they may also want to ensure that their loved one is able to benefit from their full inheritance.
When you have a loved one with a learning disability, it is important to have measures in place to ensure a secure financial future for your family. This seminar is an ideal place to get started – you will be able to find valuable information and legal advice on wills and trusts, as well as gaining peace of mind.
Over the course of the year, Mencap will run 42 Planning for the Future seminars throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland. As a charity Mencap provides these events free of charge but each events can cost up to £1000 to deliver. A donation however small is appreciated but not a requirement of attendance. These events are free. To find out about other Planning for the Future events, visit: www.mencap.org.uk/pffe
