In person | Virtual event
This nine session mindfulness course, led by Anna Black, runs on Tuesday evenings, from 7pm to 9pm on January 17th; 24th; 31st; February 7th; 14th; 21st; 28th; March 2nd and 14th 2017 plus an ‘all day’ retreat on Saturday 4th March (10am to 4pm). The first session is an orientation evening.
The course is based on the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) programme developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn. We combine that with elements derived from Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). It follows the outlines laid out in Michael Chaskalson’s book: ‘Mindfulness in Eight Weeks’.
Anna Black has been teaching mindfulness since 2006. She has a Masters in Mindfulness-based Approaches from Bangor University. Anna is the author of various books including Living in the Moment (Cico Books, 2012) and Mindfulness @ Work (Cico Books 2014). Her books are accessible introductions to mindfulness and how to introduce it into everyday life.
