Modern Mindfulness for Busy Digital Lives

The majority of people who are interested in mindfulness don’t actually do anything about it, and the reasons they give are always the same: I don’t have time; it’s too hippy and I can’t afford to turn all my technology off. Rohan Gunatillake is one of the most original and creative voices in mindfulness and meditation and he calls this problem the time problem, the hippy problem and the technology problem. In this session you will learn how to solve all three.

You will learn:

• How to meditate wherever you are and whatever you’re doing
• How to see your phone as part of your mindfulness practice and it still be legit
• Why meditation doesn’t have to be something done in silence and by yourself
• How to approach mindfulness with playfulness, rather than just another thing on your to-do list

Through his company, Mindfulness Everywhere, Rohan Gunatillake makes great products, which combine meditation, technology and design. Best known as the creator of the bestselling app buddhify, he is also the author of ‘Modern Mindfulness’ and was named by ‘Wired’ magazine in their Smart List of 50 people who will change the world.
