This event will be led by musician Tyrone Landau, choreographer Jane Turner and theatre director Luke Dixon.
Tango! The most dramatic dance in the world.
Spend an evening exploring the partner dance of Argentina. You’ll learn some basic steps, experiment with movement and character, create mini dramas, and find ways of creating theatre from the world of tango.
Suitable for those with no previous experience of the dance; for dancers and actors; for those who just want a fun and creative night out.
Tyrone Landau is a composer, singer and pianist as well as an accomplished tango dancer, dancer and choreographer Jane Turner has run tango theatre workshops around the UK and in Canada. The evening will end with an improvised ‘milonga’ bringing all participants together in a brief performance.
