Nicholas McCarthy is a one-handed concert pianist whose historic graduation from the Royal College of Music in 2012 made press headlines around the world. Nicholas has performed extensively throughout the UK in major venues including the Royal Albert Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall, among others. Internationally, he has performed in the USA, South Africa, Kazakhstan and Malta. As a champion of piano music for the left hand, Nicholas fronted International Piano’s ground-breaking exploration of the genre for the magazine’s July/August issue.
The concert will include original pieces for left hand alone, with transcriptions by Paul Wittgenstein and Nicholas himself.

- Schubert/Liszt (arr. Zichy) – Der Erlkönig
- Bach/Gounod (arr. Wittgenstein) – Ave Maria
- Haydn Wood (arr. McCarthy) – Roses of Picardy
- Wagner/Liszt (arr. Zichy) – Fantasy on Tannhäuser
This concert is followed by a Q&A which will be conducted by Claire Jackson, Editor of International Piano magazine.

Every ticket-holder will be guaranteed a seat and a drink; there will be a limited number of places available on the day on a first-come, first-served basis, but on-the-day seats do not include a complimentary drink. There are 150 pre-registered tickets available, and each ticket must be applied for separately.
