Social Equality in Action – Leading Experiential Workshops for Change

“Social Equality in Action – Leading experiential workshops for change”

Presented by Dr. Karen John

Social equality requires respectful ways of relating and awareness of our own and others’ goals and needs. However, whatever our personal or work circumstances or roles, we often find it difficult to exercise our rights and good authority and effectively meet our responsibilities. Because we learn through experience and doing, in the workshops I facilitate, I invite participants to take turns exploring with the group the real-life situations within which they find it hard to exercise their good authority. Using ERs and/or psychodrama to identify and enact lifestyle issues and dilemmas, participants are helped to find effective ways forward.

Dr. Karen John is a developmental psychologist who works as a researcher, trainer, lecturer, consultant, Adlerian psychotherapist and clinical and Ph.D. supervisor. With over 40 years’ experience in mental health, social care services and educational leadership, training and research, she is the author of over 60 articles, chapters and booklets. She is an editor of the ASIIP Year Book and a member of the ICASSI faculty and board. Her abiding aim is to help individuals, families, organisations and professionals recognise and overcome internal and external obstacles that interfere with their healthy and socially responsible functioning.

Tickets: £7, concessions £4. All welcome. No need to book. CPD certificates are available. Lecture enquiries: evans_patel@hotmail.co.uk.
