Sunday Assembly presents Creative Adventures with Steve Chapman The theme for this assembly is Creative Adventures with Steve Chapman . The word “creativity” is an unhelpful one. It results in society labelling people as being creative or not creative as if it were some sort of superpower that that has been bestowed on some but not others. The truth is that all of us have a unique ability to create imagine and innovate no matter who we are what we do or how creative we believe we are. We all have a little frozen creative genius inside us and all that is needed to defrost it is a curious mind and a particular type of individual and social permission. In this talk Steve will tell stories of losing and then re-discovering his own creativity share some simple creative practices that can help us find our own and indulge the audience in some simple exciting and energising experiments. Steve is a writer consultant and adventurer in change creativity and innovation. He has worked with a variety of organisations ranging from multi-national corporates through to small charities and individuals helping them to discover make friends with and unleash their creative spirit. He writes a popular blog at stevechapman.org and published an acclaimed book on creativity entitled “Can Scorpions Smoke? Creative Adventures in the Corporate World” All welcome.
