Sunday Concerts: Tamesis Quartet

The Tamesis Quartet, recent First Prize winners of the 2025 CAVATINA Competition, are an exciting young international ensemble formed at The Guildhall School of Music. Their programme traces the string quartet’s evolution: Britten’s Three Divertimenti show sharp characterisation, Mendelssohn’s A minor Quartet blends poetry with structural mastery, and Beethoven’s F major “Razumovsky” Quartet expands the form to orchestral scale and visionary depth.

We are grateful to the CAVATINA Chamber Music Trust for their support of this recital.
