The Great Get Together
18th June 2017 · 1:00pm - 3:00pm
In person | Virtual event
The Great Get Together is inspired by Jo Cox, who was killed on 16 June last year. Her family saw a groundswell of people who reject divisive politics and simply want to bring our communities together and celebrate all that unites us. This is our chance.
After Sunday Assembly this week, we are going to have a picnic in Red Lion Square (the park outside Conway Hall) to celebrate community, to celebrate bringing people together beyond divisions. We’re like you to invite your friends and neighbours to share food and celebrate all that we hold in common. What matters is that we have fun and bring communities closer together
Please bring:
– Gingham is the theme! If you have bunting, picnic blankets, napkins or frilly knickers, get the ginham going!
– Some food to share
– A song or a story for people to hear or join in on
– An instrument if you fancy a strum along. Do I hear Ukuleles?
– Friends/family/neighbours
– Accessible games that everyone can play
We look forward to being together on Sunday!
