The Science of Happiness
9th March 2016 · 7:00pm - 9:00pm
In person | Virtual event
How can we improve our relationships? What helps us cope well with adversity? How does physical activity affect our mood? What makes life meaningful? Vanessa King will explore these and many other questions, all based on the latest research about what really works.
Vanessa King is a board member of Action for Happiness and one of the UK’s leading experts on positive psychology. She is author of a new book Ten Keys to Happier Living being published by Headline books on 10 March.
The book draws on the latest scientific research and focuses on 10 key areas that can make our lives more positive and satisfying. Written in an engaging and friendly style, the book looks at each of the Keys in turn, offering ideas for practical actions and how to apply them in your daily life – at home, at work and in the world around you.
Doors will open at 18:30 and the event will start at 19:00.

This event is in support of Action for Happiness. We want to make it accessible to as many people as possible, so rather than charging a fixed fee we’re instead asking you to make a donation. It would be great if you could donate £20, but if you can spare more, or feel unable to give that much, then please give what you feel is appropriate.
Any funds raised (beyond the costs of the event) will contribute directly to Action for Happiness’ work relating to growing the movement and supporting local action groups relating to happiness and well-being.
