Camilla is exploring in two sessions how Individual Psychology offers a practical prevention and treatment model for anxiety disorders.
Mental Health currently costs our nation c. £100bn per annum. Current research shows 75% of common mental health issues are preventable, the most prevalent being anxiety/stress. Individual Psychology believes it is imperative to understand an individual as a whole, enabling logical sense to be made of internal thinking styles and consequential symptoms.
In session 1 Camilla explored the anxiety spectrum, how we create excessive anxiety, why we do this: the purpose/Crucial C’s(Lew and Bettner’s distillation of Adler’s basic premise that we are socially embedded) and what we do with this knowledge. She proposed that underlying all of this exploration and reorientation is the crucial requirement of collaboration.
Session 2: How to prevent excessive anxiety & stress:
There are no magic wands or quick fixes for habitual strategies. Through collaborative, empowering education and personal development our unique creative strategy is understood and respected, leading to stable, maintainable self-development which will improve all round wellbeing.
In this session Camilla will explore how we can prevent excessive anxiety and stress by:
ʘ Consciously knowing and respecting Original Private Logic strategies
ʘ Embracing natural movement between inferiority & superiority feelings
ʘ Focused commitment to physical/mental exercise and self-care
ʘ Development of internal Collaboration
ʘ Development of external Collaboration
Camilla Ghazala works in the field of Psychological/Emotional Intelligence and Health and has recently completed a 3 year research project in Individual Psychology and Mental Health. She is an enthusiastic, encouraging educator, therapist, coach and supervisor whose passion is developing awareness, self-management, resilience and the skills and ability to manage the ups and downs of life proactively. She offers an integrative approach with a core philosophy of Adlerian Psychology and Energy Management which Camilla has been developing since 1981. Camilla works along the wellbeing spectrum providing preventative education and treatment of a range of psychological, emotional and behavioural issues ensuring wellbeing is developed in a grounded, sustainable style.
Camilla is trained and experienced in a range of therapies and coaching including: Adlerian Psychology, Adlerian Coaching, Buddhist Philosophy, Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy, CBT, Gestalt Psychology, TA, Energy Psychology, Clinical Supervision, Integrative Therapy & Coaching, HeartMind Intelligence and works as a senior coach, therapist, tutor, lecturer and supervisor within the NHS and private practice.
