THE LIBRARY
An authentic, classic backdrop for photo shoots and filming which has been used in various film and television productions.
We are taking wedding ceremony enquiries for 2026 – please speak to our Venue Hire Team for details about our packages.
The Library was built to house the Ethical Society’s already existing book collection, which was established at South Place in 1886. The oak shelves were specifically built to hold the books and pamphlets cherished by the Society and its members, and to become a home for those to be acquired in years to come.
The collection is now the largest and most comprehensive humanist research resource in the UK and continues to grow with new acquisitions.
