Conway Hall opened in 1929 and is named in honour of Moncure Daniel Conway, anti-slavery advocate, outspoken supporter of free thought and biographer of Thomas Paine. Owned by Conway Hall Ethical Society, a charity, we curate, support and facilitate people and ideas that Make Ethics Matter in the world.
Our venue is Grade 2 listed and has five different event spaces, including our Main Hall with its distinctive stage and highly-regarded acoustics.
